1. Stephen Colbert

Stephen Tyrone Colbert was born on May 23, 1964. He’d been in show business since 1984 and had been hosting the Late Show since 2015. He’s not just a funny man though, he’s also an actor, writer, and in a similar vein with his peers, political critic/news satirist. Stephen was dating someone else when he met his wife. They bumped into each other during the 1990 Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina – in their hometown. The irony was that they actually lived close to each other as they were growing up and they never met even once! But for Stephen, it didn’t matter because he was hit with love at the first sight of “Evie”.

2. Evelyn McGee Colbert

Evelyn “Evie” McGee is the daughter of a prominent civil litigator in Charleston. She graduated with a double major in English and Drama. Even with the long distance, the couple clicked and they got married in 1993. In 1995 they welcomed their first child, Madeleine followed by Peter in 1998 and John in 2002. To this day, the family lives in Montclair, New Jersey. When it comes to his work, Stephen prefers that his children don’t watch “The Colbert Report”, his political satire show that ended in 2014. Even Evelyn has an opinion about her husband’s alter ego – she’s not a fan and every time he comes home from work she orders him to check if he’s no longer the sarcastic Stephen Colbert.

3. Seth Meyers

Seth Adam Meyers was born on December 28, 1973, in Evanston, Illinois. He graduated from Northwestern University. His career in the showbiz industry began in 2001 as a head writer for SNL and host of the Weekend Update, the show’s news parody segment. And as he succeeded Jimmy Fallon in hosting Late in 2014, his sarcasm seem to channel into political commentary. But a year before getting this gig, Seth first tied the knot with her girlfriend for five years, Alexi Ashe. They were engaged in July 2013 and wed two months after in Martha’s Vineyard. The publicity of his new hosting job seems to ignite people’s interest in his personal life. People started wondering who Alexi Ashe is.

4. Alexi Ashe

Alexi Ashe was born in 1983 in New Mexico. She is a law graduate from the Southwestern University. She specializes in human rights and worked as the Assistant District Attorney in King’s County in New York. “I met her at Chris Kattan’s wedding, her sister worked in the set design department of Saturday Night Live,” said Seth. It was love at first sight. But the wedding almost did not happen. Alexi suffered from food poisoning during their wedding rehearsal dinner. She was rushed to the ER and the nurse won’t allow her to attend her own wedding! That did not stop her, though. And three years after, Seth and Alexi welcomed their firstborn, Ashe Olson. Seth announced on his annual Thanksgiving show that he and Alexi are expecting another child.

5. Jimmy Kimmel

James Christian Kimmel hails from Brooklyn, New York. He just turned 50 last November. He’d been in the industry for almost 30 years with his show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Running for 14 years. But before his career began, he got married to Gina Maddy. This was in 1988. They had two children, Katherine who was born in 1991 and Kevin who was born in 1993. The couple divorced in 2002. Sometime after the divorce, Jimmy became involved with comedian Sarah Silverman but their relationship ended in March 2009. But by October, Jimmy became once more involved with someone else – his show’s co-head writer that he somehow dismissively insulted during their first meeting.

6. Molly McNearney

“That is really stupid! What a waste of time,” said Jimmy of Molly’s competing in triathlons. Molly did not forget about this interaction especially that it was the only time his boss directly interacted with her that year. By 2008, Molly became the show’s only female writing staff. In 2009, they somehow became closer to the point that Jimmy even cooked all her favorite foods for her. It marked the beginning of their relationship. In 2012, Jimmy proposed to Molly while they were vacationing in Kruger National Park. The wedding was held the next year and the year after, they had their first child, Jane. They had another child William John “Billy” last April. Just days after his birth, Billy was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect that saw him being subjected to an open-heart surgery at three days old.

Still, something good came out from his short stint in the film industry. He met Nancy Juvonen on the set of Fever Pitch, one of the few movies he was in. This was in 2004 or early 2003 but they only began dating in 2007. Just a few months after they began dating, Jimmy proposed on a dock with the sunset behind them. He was clearly smitten. But who is Nancy Juvonen?

Both of their daughters, Winnie Rose who was born in 2013 and Frances Cole who was born in 2014 were carried by a gestational surrogate.

It was his stand-up comedy that gained him international acclaim. His big break came in 2015 as he succeeded Jon Stewart as the host of The Daily Show. Even though he’s a man of many talents, the force that brought him to Los Angeles was actually a threat to his life by an abusive stepfather. Maybe it is because of these experiences growing up that caused him to have a cynical view about relationships. When asked about the last time he lied, he answered that it was in his relationship. When pressed, he answered, “Relationships are just lies disguised as support.”

10. Jordyn Taylor

“Like do I look good in this?” said Trevor, referring to the white lies that you need in a relationship. He seems to indicate that these white lies keep the relationship going. And indeed, he had been with his singer/songwriter/model girlfriend Jordyn Taylor Braff for two years. Trevor met Jordyn in 2015 right after he moved to New York for the Daily Show. He introduced Jordyn as his girlfriend during the show’s premiere party. John William Oliver is originally from Birmingham, United Kingdom. The “John Oliver Effect” as it is called, his political commentary has a pull over the American culture and how legislation and policies are made. At 40 years old and several years living in the US, John’s immigrant status is still a sore point that he would occasionally poke fun at. It was only in October 2009 that his green card was approved. However, this did not stop him from participating in activism that also somehow got his show off the air and jeopardized his stay in the American soil. His activism and unique form of “investigative reporting” also became the way for him to meet the woman that would become his wife.

Jason then joined the show first as a contributor and then as a correspondent. The couple worked together in the show until 2012 where they began to produce each other’s shows. Dominic Cooper became the godfather of James’ and Julia’s first child, Max who was born in March 2011, half a year before their star-studded $250,000 wedding. They had another child 2014, a daughter they named Carey. They are expecting another daughter this month. When James won a Tony Award in 2012, he credited Julia for his success saying, “Seriously, I would not be holding this if it wasn’t for her. A lot of people think that Jon did it to disassociate from his Jewish roots, especially that he was bullied for being one as a child. They divorced in 1977. He was then involved with Merrill Markoe, who worked as head writer and producer on the “Late Night”. Their relationship lasted from 1978 to 1988.
